In 1999 Planetarium Internet cafe started as second cafe in Tarlac. These were established principally to service the people who have families and love ones abroad most especially for a number of Overseas Contract Workers. However it soon became obvious that the local community, both Tarlaqueños and even foreigners were interested in using the facilities.
          The reasons varied why there is a great demand for an internet café . In some cases local customers had no equipment or connection of their own. Sometimes the speed and equipment were better at the cafes than at home. Most interesting though were those who came because they liked the atmosphere. It has become a meeting place for people with something in common; the desire to be online, do e-mail and chat, do their research works and other computer related needs. In short we were able to make the place to SIP and SURF. Today about 85% of customers at Planetarium Cafes are locals, mainly students, many of whom have never experienced Internet outside of an Internet cafe.

There are currently 2 Internet cafes operated by Planetarium Internet Cafe in Tarlac, and there is 1 more to open in Metrotown as a Franchise. These cafes are each customized to meet the needs of their clients, while guaranteeing common fundamentals: providing quality Internet access, trained and responsive staff and value added services for a reasonable price.

Planetarium begs for expansion. The current model in Tarlac will be successful across all of the North tourist route immediately. Also, Planetarium Internet cafe in Tarlac is currently setting up Franchise, with a view to expanding in neighboring provinces before the end of the year.

Planetarium Internet Café located in  3^rd Floor, Magic Star Mall, Cutcut, and Metrotonw Mall, Mac Arthur Hiway, Tarlac City will offer the community easy and affordable access to the Internet. Planetarium will provide full access to email, World Wide Web (WWW) access, and other Internet applications. Planetarium will also provide customers with a unique and innovative environment for enjoying great coffee, specialty beverages, and bakery items.

Planetarium will appeal to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. The instructional Internet classes, and the helpful staff that Planetarium provides, will appeal to the audience that does not associate themselves with the computer age. This educational aspect will attract younger and elderly members of the community who are rapidly gaining interest in the unique resources that online communications have to offer. The downtown location will provide business people with convenient access to their morning coffee and online needs.
